Made-to-measure tailoring looks almost magical from the outside: ten minutes of measurement and four weeks later, a hand-finished suit at your door. Here's what actually happens in our Perth workshop from order to delivery.
Week 1: Pattern and cut
Once your Easify measurements arrive at our studio, our master cutter translates them into a paper pattern unique to your body. This pattern lives on your client file forever — re-order or commission a different garment in a different fabric and your measurements are already locked in.
The paper pattern is laid onto the chosen fabric. Our cutter cuts by hand, not by machine, because every body shape requires subtle adjustments at the cutting stage that no automated system can match.
Week 2: Construction
The canvas is basted to the lapel fabric — this is the heart of a half-canvas or full-canvas suit. Hand-stitched lapels, working buttonholes, and the body of the jacket are constructed by a single tailor so that one artisan's hand guides the entire fitting balance.
Week 3: First fitting review
We perform an internal fitting review using a calibrated dress form matched to your measurements. The jacket is examined for balance across the shoulders, the chest piece's drape, and the alignment of the lapel roll.
Week 4: Final pressing and dispatch
The finished garment is hand-pressed, buttonholes stitched, linings attached, and labels sewn in. Your final inspection check happens here. The suit is wrapped in our branded garment cover and dispatched via Australia Post Express.
Delivery
Perth metro: 1 working day. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane: 2-3 working days. South West and regional WA: 3-5 working days. International: 5-10 working days.
The total timeline is 3-4 weeks for our standard service. For wedding parties needing longer lead times, we offer a rush service for an additional $200 per garment — ask when you place your order.
